What is the Access MicrOpay Web API
Payroll software holds valuable company information about your employees, increasingly, that information needs to be shared with other software products such as HR, Timesheet, Employee Self Service and Accounting software. Access MicrOpay already implements several ways to get that data to and from its payroll software packages. With the Access MicrOpay Web API you can use modern data transfer formats to get and post that same information to our secure cloud based servers, which talk directly to the payroll systems. Our system will give you instant feedback on the validity of the request, as well as status updates as payroll users process the requests.
With the Access MicrOpay Web API, you can:
- Post change requests to add, maintain and delete employees in the payroll database, and monitor the status of the request
- Post immediate updates to employees in the payroll database
- Post employee leave plans to the payroll database
- Get lookup codes and descriptions used in the payroll database
- Get live Employee details from the payroll database
- Get live Employee leave balances from payroll database
As an example you can:
- When an employee logs into your employee self-service software and changes their address details, you can post an immediate update to the Access MicrOpay Web API, and within minutes that employee's address will be changed in the payroll database
- When a new employee is added to your HR software, you can post a change request for that employee to the payroll database. You can then check the status of that change request to see when the payroll user adds that employee to the payroll database, or see a reason why that employee change request was rejected
- When your employee logs into your employee self-service software to check their leave balances, you can retrieve the balances with live data from the payroll database.
